Chanting Through The Snow~

The exact 2 months that I've been neglecting this blog of mine. I admit that work has taken not partially but most out of 24/7 that I've own. And I must say it's a privilege to be back again. Only that this time around I shall leave endless work load topic way back. It's been STRESSFUL after all. All I can say begging that rosy and a bright light may arise in 2009! That's what I am wishing. But anyways, been watching lots of movies lately in cinema. Been keeping myself occupied with colleagues, friends and classmates outing recently as well. Just recent I've meet up with my high school mates.

It's good to meet up with the girls as we keep in touch and updates on work/life/work/life and current activities. Moving on I want to put my stress away as I would want to spend year 2008 Christmas with a unforgettable and memorable one. It's so different being able to be on Company's Christmas Party on Christmas Eve and able to spending traditional Christmas in Malacca! What more can I ask for =]

It's kind of unique which we decide will comes very handy for her to use. We will have pot luck at Andrew's place for Christmas Lunch this year. Mummy's going to serve her steam fish while I will personally contribute 2 dishes. As usual, this year Christmas without Charlotte and my brother and sis in law who is celebrating in Auckland. Yea, miss them lots. Time flies so quickly that we are entering year 2009. Thus, would like to wish everyone, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Spaghetti For An-De-Lu!

Enough said, I wanted to cooked for a very long time. Since I still had the balance ingredient dinner he made me last Thurs, I decided it's time Fina makes full use of her skills to turn into a non effortless handmade dinner for him. 'Prawn Spaghetti'. The only seafood that he takes, Prawn. And so I made a decent dinner for him today. As much as I tasted, it I felt it's alright for me. Well, if you want to know more, free to ask the Man himself!

The ingredients:

I used margarine instead of cooking oil ( super conscious ) , lots of effort, and finally a hungry stomach to fill it in. And so, this was the final result.

Sunday with Andrew

It's Sunday. And so, how do I spend this precious off day? With Dearest Andrew! Nice and sweet. Not always we can see each other and spend quality time as work is the barrier between us. Got up pretty early this morning. We attended mass and heed down to Joo Chiat Road for lunch. Initially, it was supposed to be some adventure searching for Hajah Maimunah's Nasi Padang. After much talk and anticipation I decided it's time we should try something different hence we should go with it. But disappointed as it is the restaurant was close since Raya. In the end we end up at Wheelock Place, Orchard. It's been twice in a row since I was at Orchard as well yesterday. We settle for something which apparently I think it's health; Cedele.

Very well said, 'Eat well, be well'. Andrew had chicken mayo sandwich while I had cloud 9.

I swear, this is the best sorbet I've ever ever tried! Really ;] I didn't really enjoy my drink because it taste shit! I has Green Tea Mocha while he had Chocolate Addiction.

After that we stroll around suggesting and thinking what we're going to get our parents for Christmas so need some look see, look see survey. We settle for a movie. It was a tough one choosing between MBFG and House Bunny.

The movie was just so-so. Didn't really make a big impact either. It was like those normal kind of girl/boy relationship. We end the day with dinner at Express Teppan-Yaki over at Food Republic. It was pretty interesting the way they prepare the food.

It's been 10months, 10days

Two more months and it's end of year 2008. Vividly I still remember during Uni days, how I wish I would live the life I have always wanted to be. My aim, complete my decent education and earn a living on my own. This ego of mine, wanted so much to live and earn my very first pay cheque. My most substantial reason; re-pay my parents contribution and upbringing me all these while. The very fact I knew that the relationship that I had with my parents are so strong and deep inside, it's my Dad that he can't let go of me till this very day. Sometimes, there's many memories and many wonders that come across of me. During Uni there's always friends, and now in the corporate whole, most of my time are taken by my nature of work. I got to be honest, I LOVE my job. But at the same time, it's also the market that would determine my 'rice bowl'. At this point, economic is not really in a good tumour. Been alert that recession is hitting and definitely we can see the impact by now. Within 10 months; in my corporate world, the naive once I was an adult I can bravely proclaim. I have confidence when I speak. And I can make my own judgement and decisions using the knowledge, experience and mistake I've learn. Just when I heard acquaintance and friends complaining how incompatible their work and nature has been well, deep inside I can smile and say 'Hey, Fina thank the Lord you have a good day and you brace it through!'. For the past months, I knew I had been working hard and I meant my effort not wasted. 2008 has been the highlight of my Career, Family, Love and Life. You know, up to this day, there's still one thing that I never fail to miss. My Dad. And deep inside I knew that he misses me much even though he knows that I am safe in Andrew's arms. Cause I am Dad's big baby ;] It wasn't easy when I first told him that I wanted to earn my first decent pay cheque in Singapore. The fact I knew he would be worried on my accommodations/travel/ society and environment. I have to say that I owe my partner, Andrew a big time for going through trials and tribulations in those very depress and hard times. It's also the Bonus 'Q' when the time comes, and so if Andrew has made up his mind to Calgary, Canada am I ready to follow. I have no doubts. But I am not certain. As much as I want us to build a future it's also something I need to know where do I see myself in 5 years from now. Will I be coaching or manage something I want to do in life. One things for sure, I am happy with what God has bless me with. His presence by my side!

Singapore Marathon 2008

Woohoo...here we go again! I'm going to run for a 'CAUSE' come 7th December 2008. Well, i will be supporting the charity runners in their efforts to raise funds for their chosen cause! Went for shopping at Jusco, Aeon Tebrau City. It's also good to have a change away from the city of Singapore ( Cause it's been a while since we last hang out and also it's BORING in Singapore) Well, how much can you shop in Singapore. And so, we thought that for a change we shall have some time by ourselves away from hectic, work, and also swamps of people. We catch a movie at TGV. Not much of choices as we had already watch 'You don't mess with the Zohans' and 'Meet Dave'. Finally we settled for

'Wall-E'.

This Disney 3-D animation would be best described as the movie for the Dumbs. There's not much of vocab here. Wall-E which stands for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class is adorable in its character. The HMS:Senior Year will be out this 23 Oct!!! I AM NOT GOING TO MISS THIS!

Finally i am back to the pigeons cage. *sigh*. Also I've been looking for this particular brand call TRESemme.

They used to sell for hair saloon and previously i got them from Watsons. Goodness, damn freaking expensive. I had it for 150 ml at RM 25. Now it's a new repackaging at RM35 for FUCKING 50ml. This is massive change!

But no choice still need this serum! It's super good :) I so heart YOU!!! I hope you had a great day because mine was, definitely.

Also, this is a late one, last week was Andrew's Birthday. We had a gathering just the two of us at Makan Sutra. Shit! Food again. I'm still on my work out till end of the month.

Charlotte & Ku Cheh

It's been 5 days past. Charlotte has left Auckland for good.
It's also means back to work for me as usual. Well, Charlotte's presence has been the best gift that has happen to my family as well as myself. I do miss her much and love her lots. Now i wonder when will our family be reunite or perhaps i should arise when will i be heading to New Zealand. I do hope soon. It's been a whole long month since i has a great time traveling visiting places with my family, hence now FULL FORCE back to work. It's such a pain after such a long break. Endurable one. I still have something i wan to accomplish in life. Something very much I want to embark in my career. Something no body knows. Haaaha, just me myself and I. Times sure passes fast. Were heeding towards the few balance of the month. I'mm training damn hard. I need to achieve this, DESPERATELY! Greetings to all 'earthlings'. God Bless you!

July Updates!

I am officially back since M-I-A beribu-ribu abad. Work has been good but, so there's a BUT to pause which says in a long term move this practice will make my spirit die. Sometimes, i felt that i am married to my work already. There goes, and i figure what if at this age i should work super duper hard so I can retiree with a bang 15 years from now. By that time i could have enough time to cater my all to family, husband and kids! Talk about family planning, which is so not me. Fine, i am really tired with work but sometimes fun facing these tribulations in life. It's just that in long run, it's going to be so dead boring. I like meeting people. I observe, i learn i reckon the steps in life i could consult and give in the career and path that i have choose. I might not be perfectly right but I take chances. A change would do you good! This is society. This is life. Chances happens only once therefore grab every opportunity that seize. After a hard and long day work you just feel that in need for a good pampering mouthful of words. Perhaps a good bowl of wantanmee would do me good. Ohh please it's FINA. I am blessed. Truly gratefully with the people i have met along the line. Be it in work or in society circles, i look up; adored and can't be thankful enough knowing how blessed am I to have knowledge and shared experience from others knowing i am way far better. My family has reunite finally with the other missing sheep's from Nzealanders. Now, it's going to be tough when the sheep's returns back to Nz in 3 weeks time. Fcuk* I am looking forward for my vacation next week to Phuket! :D

The future of Msia~

I was born and breed in Malaysia. I do love my country, Malaysia. When i think of our culture, i am proud. I am amaze how unique and different each of our individual culture has bring harmonious and excellent unity. But this is back then. Now, looking at the rulings and the whole scenario from day one to now. It just makes one to leave this country. Everything is going up solely. And this happens within a twist of faith. There must be a change in our country. Either our country is a democracy or not it really needs a proper revamp once and for all. It's ridiculous for the impose of RM2.70 per liter when it was only at RM 1.92 back then. How dare, these idiots can say we are still enjoying the subsidy at a cheaper rate of 0.30 cents compare to the retail price at RM3.00 per liter. Well, if this is the case, might as well save up the 0.30 cents that they are giving. A price hike of .78 cents per liter really makes much of a difference. Or I should say, literally it doesn't affect much on those who re not earning in Malaysia? Wrong you! Even though the increase doesn't affect me directly it does dig a big pole of hole to my pocket for the transportation cost i bare. I believe that mos of the transport has take immediate action on the increase of public transportation. A big jump at .78 cents is totally crazy. Malaysia is a country with resources when it comes to petroleum. No doubt it's a heavy burden as we need to export the oil out for refinery thus import it back but this is not the proper channel and way to eat the rakyats fund. What about those family with 4 and more kids above. Have the government put themselves in these peoples shoe considering the fact that they to need a proper budget when everything is increasing but salary is still being paid at the same. With the hike of petrol, food and consumer usage and there's more to come. Our government is just killing the rakyats. We pay taxes alright. It's just a pain in the ass looking at the current situation. No wries, crime rates will increase looking at how they are curbing the rakyats need. Most of the government minister are being subsides it doesn't make a pain for them. We are suffering. First there's corruption now..this is getting worst. Let's just see how the future holds. Well done, PAK LAH!!!

Crab Feasting!

Never in my life, I had the mouthful of crab that I shall not eat for at least the next 6 month! Had a lovely crab feast with my colleagues and Manager as well. There were 8 of us and 3 males which includes Andrew. Aiya..the guys 'lauya' la. Non seafood eaters. We stuff ourselves with lots of food.

The suffer part was the bill come up to $500++. It's alright la not always. Well such event only happens once in the blue moon. Anyway it's a nice outing though with colleagues. Work as usual busy with lots of job events going on. Went to IMM this past few days as BF wants to get a printer. In the end we settle for a Canon Pixma MP145 which was affordable today. Had dinner at Pepper Lunch with Andrew. He recommended that this affordable DIY fast food steakhouse originated from Japan which serves their meal in iron pan. The portion is alright and to be honest I find the combinations are quite healthy in term of the dishes and main meals like salmon fish. Also, I got my self a pair of Amber boot cut pants and working skirt from G2000. The sales are on going and it's a good bargain. I am tires. Death sleepy. Ta!ta!
